In collaboration with Unity’s Brand and Identity team, I developed a custom generative design software that powered Unity’s entire visual identity in 2018. Built in Unity3D, the tool enabled the team to produce a wide range of brand assets from a single generative system—ensuring both creative consistency and expressive variation.
The software’s outputs were used across event prints, website banners, keynote animations, merchandise, and even the Unity 2018 splash screen. It also powered motion- and audio-reactive visuals for live performances at Unity’s GDC events and parties.
As the Creative Technologist, I led the design and development of the generative engine, collaborating closely with the brand team to define a flexible visual system. A key part of the process was determining which parameters to expose—such as form, color palette, motion behavior, and density—giving the team a high degree of control while preserving the richness and unpredictability that make generative art so compelling.
This project demonstrates how custom generative tools can amplify branding efforts at scale—bridging design intent, interactivity, and technical execution in a cohesive, real-time workflow.
