About

I make things at the intersection of art, science, and technology. Right now that means AI-native tools, spatial computing, and real-time 3D.

I'm the Lead Creative Technologist for Gensler's Northwest region. I lead immersive and interactive experiences from concept through on-site installation, and turn what I learn on projects into tools and service offerings for the firm. On my own time I build AI tools, mostly things I wanted to exist and couldn't find.

I'm a generalist, and I do my best work as a hands-on lead on small cross-functional teams. I move between design, engineering, business, and strategy, and I still write the code. Some of that comes from running my own businesses: Iskele47 in Istanbul, a studio and one of the city's first makerspaces, and later an independent practice in San Francisco. I think about budgets, clients, and timelines as part of the build.

As an artist I make audiovisual performances, responsive environments, and interactive installations, using sensors, custom software, and whatever display technology the idea needs. I visualize behaviors and movement patterns drawn from the natural sciences. The visuals aim to be familiar enough to spark recognition and alien enough to leave room for interpretation. I lean on participation and play, so the work is something people explore together rather than watch.

I helped organize Maker Faire Istanbul, taught creative coding and physical interaction design at HBKsaar and Yeditepe University, co-founded the audiovisual trio NOS Visuals, and I'm a member of Epitome, a parametric architecture collective.

My work has been shown at Ars Electronica, the Exploratorium, Gray Area, Signal Festival, TodaysArt, the Carnegie Museum of Art, the Computer History Museum, Daejeon Museum of Art, and the National Museum of China. I've worked as a creative technologist on projects for Unity, Adidas, IBM, HP, Salesforce, Capital One, and Microsoft. I live and work in San Francisco.
